We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is Treaty 4 territory and the traditional territory of the Anihšinābēk, Nêhiyawak, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota peoples, and the original home of the Métis/Michif Nation. We recognize that both Indigenous and Métis people are the spiritual and cultural keepers of their traditional lands and still to this day, continue to practice their values, languages, beliefs and knowledge.
The White Butte Ecomuseum and gallery concept is being developed through the Town of White City.
It is being considered for potential co-location at the future White City Town Centre. The White Butte Ecomuseum and gallery looks to the whole White Butte ecoregion for its cultural heritage content, including White City, Pilot Butte, Balgonie, Village of Edenwold and the RM of Edenwold.
The Jardine Building
Built circa 1950s, the Jardine building was donated to the White City Museum by the late Lillian “Lill” Jardine to preserve one of the older homestead structures built in the area.
